Boone, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk, and Valle Crucis sit in a world of their own: mile-high meadows, fog-laced ridgelines, and venues that feel like they were built specifically to make your guests gasp. The High Country spans Watauga and Avery Counties and sits along the iconic Blue Ridge Parkway, just below Grandfather Mountain — the highest peak on the Blue Ridge. Boone is home to Appalachian State University and a thriving arts and food scene, while Blowing Rock offers refined resort elegance and Banner Elk draws couples for its ski-resort backdrop and sweeping ridgeline views. Valle Crucis, tucked into a peaceful valley where three streams meet, is home to the original Mast General Store and some of the most intimate farm venues in the state.

Yes — the High Country is about 95 miles from my base in Asheville, and it's a trip I make gladly. Travel fees apply for distances beyond 60 miles, but they're straightforward and included in your quote. Many couples book me specifically because they want a DJ who treats their High Country wedding with the same focus and craft as any Asheville event.
The High Country peaks in May–October, with fall foliage weekends (mid-October) booking out 14–18 months in advance. Summer Saturdays at popular venues like Overlook Barn, The White Crow, and Chetola fill up fast. Reach out as soon as you have a date in mind — don't wait until you've signed the venue contract.
I've performed across the region and do thorough advance work for every new venue — visiting the space, checking acoustics, and coordinating with your venue coordinator before the big day. Whether you're at a hilltop barn with mountain echoes or an indoor resort ballroom, the audio and energy are dialed in.
