Three spaces on the golf course
The Grand Lodge is the indoor room, with stonework, rustic beams, cathedral ceilings and walls of windows toward the course. The Rustic Pavilion is a covered outdoor space with a deck, a full bar and a stone fireplace hearth, plus heating elements and clear drop-down sides for cool evenings. The Arbor is for ceremonies only, built from natural laurel branches and poplar posts.
The Arbor sits next to the Pavilion, so a ceremony and a reception can happen a few steps apart. Smaller rooms in the Lodge, the Mountain Vista Room and the Cedar Room, are used for rehearsal dinners and similar events.
Sound and hosting in each room
The Pavilion and the Lodge call for different plans. In the Lodge, cathedral ceilings and glass make a large reflective room, so I aim speakers into the crowd and keep the level controlled. In the Pavilion, the sides can be down for heat or up for air, so I check the sound both ways at the sound check.
The five-hour event time shapes the host's job. I plan the entrance, toasts, dinner, first dance and open floor to fit inside it, and the venue says extra event hours can be added when pre-arranged. Laurel Ridge does not publish a music cutoff or sound rules in the materials I found, so I ask the events team.
Lighting, power and effects
Stone, beams and windows make the Lodge a good canvas for warm white light. I would wash the beams, light faces and leave the window wall alone, so guests see the course at dusk. In the Pavilion, I would keep fixtures low and out of the way of the fireplace and the drop-down sides.
Low fog needs its own dedicated 30 amp circuit because it draws up to 3,000 watts for about five minutes at warm-up. Lights and sound run on ordinary 20 amp circuits. The venue does not publish its power layout or a rule on fog, cold sparks or open flame in the guide I read, so I would ask the events team and get approval in writing.

Planning notes for couples
Lodging on site includes the Inn on the Green with four guest rooms, a one-bedroom First Tee Condo, the two-bedroom Condo on the Green and The Hideaway. Wedding packages include an in-house wedding planner, and food and beverage are separate from the venue fee.
The Bridal Suite is included with the Lodge and Pavilion packages from 9 a.m., and the Tee-Box Tavern is set aside for groomsmen. The guide does not publish a rain plan. The Pavilion has a roof, so ask whether your ceremony would move there from the Arbor.
